The suitcase I took with me to my sister’s funeral is still sitting in a corner of my bedroom. It’s not because I haven’t thought about putting it away one hundred times. When I was in VA my brother-in-law encouraged me to pick out some of my sister’s clothes to take. I knew it was silly since she and I couldn’t have been built any differently. She was always the size of a wisp, and me? Well, let’s just say I have always been “solid”. I don’t mind my size (anymore), but the reality is that most of the things I brought back from her house will never fit me.
Ironically, all the shoes are too big.
